She has worked in positions of progressive responsibility in the communications, public relations (both for corporate PR and brand PR), corporate, government and public affairs areas. She also has experience in leading the development and implementation of large cross-company communication strategies from various industries including media, retail, PR consultancy, public utility, public health, FMCG, financial institutions (banking and insurance), healthcare, etc. Devy has also taught PR and business writing at a university in Jakarta during which she also worked for the media industry. She brings the perfect blend of experience, strategy and real-world execution to the table as she has worked through a number of mergers and acquisitions, crisis communications and corporate rebranding.
Devy is currently a member of Johnson & Johnson Indonesia’s leadership team having officially started her role in mid-2016 as the country leader of communications & public affairs in Indonesia. She is responsible for all the business sectors under One Johnson & Johnson Indonesia organisation, which comprises the consumer, medical devices, pharmaceutical and vision care businesses.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Forestry from Bogor Institute of Agriculture (IPB) in 1996, followed by a post-graduate degree in 1998 for Magister Management (MM) in Marketing Management while working at The Indonesian Observer, an English daily newspaper. Devy was also educated at Corporate Affairs Academy by The Centre for Corporate Public Affairs, Melbourne, Australia sponsored by Kraft Foods Asia Pacific (2011 – 2012) and was also educated at Prasetiya Mulya, Executive Learning Institute in Jakarta for a mini MBA programme called Executive Leader Management Development Program sponsored by Prudential Indonesia (2014 – 2015). Devy speaks fluent English and Bahasa Indonesia and some French and Spanish. When not travelling, Devy enjoys reading books as much as she enjoys painting, if not more – practicing her flute, listening to music and planning for the next adventure with her husband and daughter.
