Subsequently, she took up a position as senior PM in MSD where she oversaw Zocor (simvastatin) through pre-patent, patent expiration and post-patent cycle of the product, successfully maintaining market leadership in the total lipid market and growing the sales in the first (the highest annual sales recorded for Zocor since the launch) and second year of post-patency despite the presence of five generics.
She also launched Ezetrol (ezetimibe) and one of the key achievements was the successful listing of Ezetrol in government formulary within seven months of the launch.
In 2012, she moved to Pfizer as marketing manager, overseeing several key portfolios and retail pharmacy marketing, successfully maintaining market leadership of key brands, which included Viagra, and achieving the retail business target with strong double-digit growth. A year later, she took up the challenge of a national sales manager role, managing sales managers, key account managers and sales executives for Malaysia and Brunei.
She and her team were awarded the gold medal for 2013 Emerging Market Asia Games – business plan for an innovative retail business plan, outcompeting six countries in the region to win the award. Her team also won the Pfizer annual best sales team and best sales manager awards in 2013.
